HUGIN NEWS/KBC acquires 70% stake in DZI Insurance, market leader in non-life and life insurance in high-growth Bulgaria (FinanzNachrichten)
KBC and Kontrakt Sofia reached agreement today for KBC ( Nachrichten ) to acquire 70% ownership of DZI Insurance, the market leader in non-life and life insurance in Bulgaria, for 185 million EUR. Following the acquisition, KBC will launch a public bid for the remaining 30%. As part of the deal, KBC will also acquire DZI INVEST, a securities broker active on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange.
